I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twelve years of clinical experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and my Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.

I provide individual and couples counseling for people struggling with trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions. I also work with women specific issues, including maternal mental health concerns, juggling work and parenting responsibilities, relationship challenges, burnout, and emotional and sexual concerns.

In supporting my clients, I operate from a client-centered and strength-based approach with a genuine regard for each client. I further employ a variety of treatment modalities and tailor to the individual needs of clients, including psychodynamic counsel, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. I also have training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR.

I believe in helping others find their joy and learn to choose themselves in navigating life’s demands and challenges. Through a supportive, compassionate, and trusting relationship and environment, I hope to help clients feel empowered to reclaim control and make positive changes in their lives. Clients learn to express, explore, understand, and accept underlying emotions, thoughts, and behaviors without judgment and with renewed compassion for themselves and others.
